S. Supreme- Court. The term “neediest.” is used here because, after all has been said and done, segregation in public education as well as in several other areas of life, has been ruled unconstitutional by nur highest court and the con stitution will either be obeyed or abolished. It is not likelv if. will be abolished On the other hand. it. is some what disconcerting to - hear a man who knows better to state publicly that the Negro and white schools; are equal. Such a statement was made by a Negro "leader” recent - Ij at a meeting “covered” by a reporter from a Raleigh daily,!
